Fun Run through Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood
Thursday
Breakfast is available at the Knuckle Saloon then to Spearfish. Proceed through Sprearfish Canyon then around to Lead. We will meet at noon in Deadwood to park our cars on main street for a mini show. Lunch can be had at the Latchstring Inn, then back to the Thunderdome for the social and evening events.
Poker Run to Custer
Friday
You will put a lot of miles on today. You can go at your own pace and your own route through the hills as long as you get your poker book stamped at the designated locations. I recommend taking the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Roads on your way back, very scenic and winding with tunnels that look towards Mt Rushmore !!
Desination host city is Custer. Pick up your goodie bag with a $10 chamber coupon. One per vehicle. Park on main street or next to Custer Chamber Building (side street will be reserved for Mustangs).
The planned route is just a suggestion. You can go any way you want as long as you receive the stamps from the assigned poker stops.
1. Kickstart Travel Center
2. Sturgis Drag Strip
3. The Knuckle Saloon
4. Country Store at the Forks
5. Custer Chamber of Commerce
6. (optional bonus stamp) selfie picture cruising through the Custer Wild Life Park
Up to two bonus cards for a card/stamp from any vendor present at the Thunderdome.
You will visit many scenic places throughout the Black Hills. Your Rally booklet will have a page for poker stamps, poker stops listed and a Black Hills map.
Each of theses stamps is equal to one playing card. Participants will pick their cards from a 52 card deck. The best hand wins. If a tie occurs, it is broken by a one card additional draw.
Parade Cruise Through Sturgis
Saturday after the Show and Shine
After a beautiful day at the Show and Shine everyone will head to the Thunderdome to line up for a Parade Cruise. You will get a chance to show off your ride one more time. When you get to the middle of the parade route on main street Sturgis you will have the opportunity to thrill the crowd with a loud pipes contest sponsored by Loud American Roadhouse.
